PURL-HANDLE Resolution
The combination of PURLs and HANDLES makes it possible to deploy a
URN (Uniform Resource Name) solution today with full confidence that
the investment in formal naming will work in future URN environments.
The link http://purl.org/HDL/cnri-1/cnri_home is a HANDLE assigned under the CNRI HANDLE system and resolved using PURLs.
